Fulcrum Coaching and JBV Coaching Present The 2010 Cyclocross Clinic Featuring Jeremy Powers
Fulcrum Coaching and JBV Coaching are stoked to announce that U.S. pro cyclocrosser Jeremy Powers will once again share his years of pro-level racing experience at their annual cyclocross clinic. Building on the overwhelming success of last year's clinic, this one-day cyclocross boot camp—sponsored by Swiftwick socks, Cannondale bicycles, and the Bike Doctor in Waldorf-is the perfect way to kick off a successful 2010 'cross campaign. Ideal for beginner and experienced 'crossers, Jeremy and a staff of four top-notch instructors will give you the inside scoop on everything you need to know to step up your CX game.
This year's clinic will be held at Rosaryville State Park in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. A short drive from Washington, D.C., and the site of last year's Tacchino Ciclocross, Rosaryville's varied terrain gives clinic participants the opportunity to learn and hone their skills on several surfaces including 'cross-friendly single-track mountain-bike trails.
In addition to a full day of learning technique, tactics and skills, attendees will also benefit from hands on instruction from JPow and professional coaches. "Everyone learned something which was my number one goal with this camp," Powers said after last year's clinic. "The other coaches and I really made our best effort to get everyone nailing the techniques the correct way," he added. "We hit on the fundamentals of cyclocross so all the participants had the tools to get a result in their upcoming competitions."
Where most clinics give you a couple hours or a half-day of instruction, the Fulcrum Coaching and JBV Coaching clinic goes all out. Not only do you receive a full day of instruction on all facets of 'cross racing, a Chipotle lunch, and an end-of-the-day mock race to put all your new skills into practice, but you also get the opportunity to pick Jeremy's brain at a Friday night 'cross talk session at The Bike Doctor in Waldorf, Maryland.
Along with getting the chance to talk up JPow, the 'cross talk event is a great opportunity to take home great swag from Swiftwick and The Bike Doctor, and a new cyclocross bike frame from Cannondale Bicycles.
This clinic is designed to help the beginner and accomplished cyclocross racer. With four coaches in addition to Jeremy, every attendee will receive one-on-one instruction tailored to improve their technique, tactics and training. Participants will be divided into groups by experience so beginners are not left behind and experienced racers are constantly challenged to improve their skill set. All coaches, including Jeremy, will work with each group several times as the day progresses.
Friday night's cross talk will take place at The Bike Doctor of Waldorf from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday's clinic at Rosaryville State Park will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Space is limited to 50 attendees and last year's clinic sold out fast.

2009 Cyclocross clinic with Jeremy Powers - 7/8/2009
Please join Jeremy Powers, Fulcrum Coaching and JBV Coaching for a weekend of 'cross goodness.
Friday, Aug 21st is a meet and greet at The Bike Doctor in Waldorf, MD from 7p-9:30. This is free and open to the public.
Saturday, Aug 22nd is a full day 'cross clinic at Lake Fairfax Park, aka Reston, the final round of the MAC and costs $125.
The clinic will be 8 hours (9a-5p) with one of the best domestic 'cross racers in the country and two experienced cyclocross coaches (Coach Dan and Chris Mayhew from JBV Coaching). Lunch will be provided.
We are also working on some very nice deals and swag for participants, such as a one month discount at Cyclocrossworld.com for participants.

Fulcrum Coaching Team take 3rd place at the 12 Hours of Cranky Monkey Mtn bike race - 7/8/2009
Great Job to both Coach and and Client Rusty Williford on their 3rd place finish at the 12 hours of Cranky Monkey mountain bike relay race at the Quantico Marine Core Base in Quanitco VA! After 12 hours of racing they finished at just under 6 minutes down from 2nd place in 11:51:05. Next year we go for 1st!

Fulcrum Coaching and Team Dayton are pleased to announce the 2nd annual Southwest Ohio Indoor Time Trial Series.
Following up last years successful event we have decided to do another one. We raised over $1,000 for Team in Training last year. Let's see how much we can raise this year!
The races will take place again at Neo Limits Fitness in Centerville Ohio from 9am until 5pm on the following Dates:
Sunday January 6, 2008, Sunday February 10, 2008, and Sunday March 2, 2008.
We have a great list of prizes lined up for this year for the overall winners and a great raffle that anyone can purchase tickets to.

Announcing the Fulcrum Coaching and JBV Coaching Ohio Valley Cyclocross clinic!!!
We are really excited to announce our fall 2007 Cyclocross clinic.
We will be flying in John Verheul from JBV Coaching on September 14th 2007 for a meet and greet from 6pm - 8pm at BioWheels Bicycle shop in Cinncinati OH and a 2 day clinic on Saturday September 15th from 9am - 4pm and on Sunday September 16th from 8:30 - 10:30am.
We will be using portions of the Sunday OVCX race course on both days.
John is one of the best coaches in the country when it comes to the skills necessary to train for and compete in cyclocross races. John is a USAC Level 1 licensed coach, has published training articles in VeloNews and other publications. He currently coaches members of the TIAA-CREF/5280 development team, and he is the team coach for the Clif Bar/ACA development cyclo-cross team, including 2007 Junior World Silver Medalist Daniel Summerhill.
